Propaganda I’m not falling for: Being a carry-on only traveler. I love clothes way too much for that nonsense.
Propaanda I AM falling for: Packing my carry-on really thorougly & thoughtfully so long haul flights are no big deal.
Curious what’s in my carry-on? Lucky for you, I don’t gatekeep! Here are my non-negotiables:

It’s so important to me that I’m able to get sleep on long flights, both to pass the time and to make sure I can keep jetlag at bay. This eye mask is my absolute favorite. It’s soft for lots of hours of wear and totally blocks out the light.
I never risk packing my medications and vitamins in my checked luggage. If, God forbid, something were to happen to my bag, I need to have these essentials with me. This pill case is cute AND functional. I use the AM/PM version for trips longer than a week.

And while I’m in that “keep essentials out of my checked baggage” mindset, I always make sure to keep at least 1 international charger in my carry-on. If my bag goes missing, I’ll want to be able to at least charge my phone & laptop once I land in another country.
AirPods go without saying, right? I do especially love my AirPods Pro for their noise cancelling functionality.

While I catch some zzz’s on the plane, this 3-in-1 charger takes care of my phone, watch & airpods. It fits perfectly on hotel bedside tables, too.
I love my Sonicare toothbrush while at home, and this travel version has become irreplaceable for me. One charge lasts forever and I love that the travel case totally covers the head of the toothbrush, keeping it grime-free.

Compression socks aren’t the sexiest, but, neither are swollen feet & calves. I’ve been wearing the same pair of Comrad compression socks for long flights over the past 6 years at least, and they never let me down. Bonus points for being relatively cute.
I’m not one to do my full skincare routine (or even a face mask) on the plane, but I do like to give my skin a little refresh before I land. These Micellar wipes from Burt’s Bees are super gentle and help me feel just a little cleaner.

I get super cold on planes, so having this huge cashmere wrap on hand has saved me more than once. I like to use it over the airplane blanket while I snooze and wrap it around my shoulders while I eat & scroll. Not the most inexpensive item on this list, but it’s incredible quality (soft!!) and lasts forever.
Just trust me and buy 3 of these. One for your carry-on, one for your purse, and one for your pocket. You can never have too many Ole Henriksen lip balms on hand.

After I lightly cleanse my face with those Burts Bees wipes, I like to give my skin a big boost of moisture with this Tacha Dewy Skin Mist. It feels so luxurious and adds the glow right back to my complexion.
On our flght home from Italy in 2022 Delta included this Clarins Hand & Nail Treatment in their comfort kits. I have been hooked ever since. The fragrance is light, fresh & citrusy and helps my hands feel soft & supple. A must.

So tell me! What have I missed? What are the must-have items you always make sure are included in your carry-on?
